There’s a channel out there making miniature construction videos, tiny dioramas of houses being built brick by brick, filmed with real cameras and real hands. One of those videos has pulled in 334 million views. Not thousands. Not millions. Hundreds of millions.
I wanted to know if the same effect could be recreated with AI instead of a physical set, a camera rig, and days of filming. It took some trial and error, but yes, it works, and I’m going to walk you through the exact process, including how to build your own prompt from scratch if you’d rather not use mine.
Building the Prompt Yourself (Optional)
If you want to understand where a prompt like this actually comes from, here’s the shortcut. Open Gemini, share a link to a miniature construction video you like, and ask it to explain what’s happening in the video. You can ask this in plain English or in Urdu, either works.
From there, ask it a follow-up: “If I wanted to recreate this exact style using AI, what would I need to do?” Gemini will walk you through the approach. Push it one step further and ask it to write you AI prompts based on that method, then ask it to combine those into a single master prompt.
That master prompt usually needs some cleanup and testing before it’s actually usable, which is the part that takes real time. If you’d rather skip that process entirely, I’ve already built and tested a complete master prompt, which I’ve linked separately.
Step 1: Generate Your Video Ideas
Take the master prompt and paste it into ChatGPT. It will hand you back five different construction or house-style video ideas, each with an SEO-friendly title already written for you.
If none of the five grab you, just reply “more ideas” and it’ll generate another batch. You can keep doing this until you’ve got fifty or even a hundred options to choose from.
Once you find one you like, tell ChatGPT its number. This moves you into the next stage, where it builds out your first frame image prompt (the opening shot of your video) along with a series of motion prompts, starting with the foundation phase and working upward through each stage of construction.
Step 2: Create Your Opening Image
Copy the first frame image prompt. You can use this in Google Flow, Leonardo, or Picklumin, whichever image generator you prefer. I used Flow, set the ratio to 16:9 for a landscape video, and selected the Nano Banana Pro model.
Paste the prompt in and generate. When mine finished, the level of detail actually caught me off guard: brick piles positioned realistically, cement buckets scattered around, a measuring scale lying nearby, even a shovel placed exactly where you’d expect one on a real construction site. The kind of detail someone building a physical miniature set would spend hours arranging by hand, generated in one pass.
Step 3: Turn That Image Into Your First Video Clip
This image becomes your starting frame, the point your video will animate from.
Inside Flow, click the three dots on your generated image and select Animate. This attaches the image to the prompt box. Set the model to Omni Flash, and choose a 10-second clip length. At 15 credits per 10-second clip, this is one of the more efficient ways to build a longer video without burning through your daily credits.
Go back to ChatGPT and grab your first motion prompt, the one covering foundation construction. Paste that alongside your image in Flow and generate.
The result surprised me the first time I saw it. In a single 10-second clip, complete with matching sound effects, the entire foundation phase played out from empty ground to a finished base.
Step 4: Chain Your Clips Together
Here’s the part that makes the whole video flow as one continuous shot instead of a series of disconnected clips.
Go back to ChatGPT and pull the next motion prompt, this time covering walls and window openings. Then return to your first finished video clip and save its very last frame as an image (either by pressing and holding on it on mobile, or using the save option in the corner on desktop).
Take that end frame, drop it into the prompt box, add your second motion prompt, and generate. This continues the video exactly from where the first clip left off, rather than starting a new, disconnected scene.
When I tested this, the second clip picked up the structure at exactly the height the first one ended, built the walls upward, and even left properly spaced gaps for windows and doors. Repeat this same pattern (save the end frame, grab the next motion prompt, generate) for each remaining construction phase: framing, roofing, finishing details, however many stages your idea calls for.
Step 5: Edit It All Together
Bring your finished clips into a video editor in order. Because each clip was generated using the previous one’s exact end frame, the transitions are nearly invisible. I scrubbed back and forth across the cut between my first and second clips several times and genuinely couldn’t pinpoint where one ended and the other began.
That seamlessness is really the whole trick here. It’s what turns a handful of separate 10-second generations into something that watches like one continuous build.
The Credit Math (So You Know What to Expect)
Each Google Flow account gives you 50 free credits per day. At 15 credits per 10-second Omni Flash clip, that’s three clips per account, per day.
A full video in this style usually needs 5 to 6 clips to reach a comfortable 1 to 1.25 minutes, matching the pacing of the original miniature construction videos. Using two separate Flow accounts, you can generate a complete video like this for free, every single day, without paying for credits.
Why This Is Worth the Effort
The channels making these videos with real cameras and real miniature sets are putting in 12 to 15 days of physical work per video. That’s the honest tradeoff for the format’s popularity: it’s satisfying to watch specifically because it looks like real, patient craftsmanship.
Recreating that same feeling with AI doesn’t skip the effort entirely, you still need to build a working prompt, pick the right model settings, and chain your frames correctly. But it compresses days of physical building into an afternoon, which is a trade worth understanding if you’re trying to enter this niche without a miniature workshop and a camera rig.
If you start experimenting with this format now, while it’s still relatively fresh in the AI space, there’s real room to get strong early traction before it becomes as saturated as some other AI video styles already are.
